All our charters are whole boat charters, no other clients will be put on your charter at Hi Time Charters All clients are responsible to meet us at Andrews Fisherman’s Bend Marina located ¼ mile north of the Traffic Circle at 11957 Glacier Highway in beautiful Auke Bay about 12 miles from downtown Juneau, also free parking. We will be waiting for your party at the top of the dock. If your arriving in Juneau via cruise ship cabs are located where you disembark from your ship, it’s about $35.00 each way. Charters normally start at 8 am and at 1 pm, we are flexible with our departure and return times and we will adjust them to meet your schedule. Our boats operate under U.S. Coast Guard rules and 6 guests are the maximum allowed, any age, plus the Captain and Crew. The state of Alaska has legalized Marijuana however the US Coast Guard still finds it illegal and is not allowed on our charters.

Hi Time Charters and f/v Hi Time located in Juneau, Alaska, at Andrew’s fisherman’s Bend Marina, 11957 Glacier Highway, Auke Bay, Alaska. Our charters leave at 8 am for our 4, 6 and 8 hour charters, and if we do a 4 hour at 8 am we are available for a 1 pm second charter and if we do a 6 hour charter in the morning we are available at 3 pm. We can custom schedule a charter to accommodate your schedule if you on a cruise ship or have other reasons for a special time for your charter. Please meet us at the top of the dock about 10 mins before your charter. We can arrange transportation for your party if needed and someone one will be waiting for you at your disembarking area with a sign and escort you to the marina or we can arrange for you to be picked up at a Hotel or your home.

All our charters are Whole Boat Charters, we do not add anyone to your charter and our price is 1 to 4 fishermen maximum, additional charges for over 4 and no more than 6 guest/fishermen on a charter (we are licensed with the USCG as a six pack charter boat

When fishing for Halibut or bottom fishing on f/v Hi Time we can’t fish more than 4 fishermen at a time because we fish over Honey Holes and must keep backing the boat up against the wind and current and we not able to fish behind the motors due to the lines getting tangled in the propellers, if more than anglers must rotate.

When fishing for Salmon we slow troll and we are allowed one rod per angler, we rotate the anglers and each angler can use the first rod that gets a bite for his/her fish. Normally the action for Salmon is hot and everyone has their chance but when fishing King Salmon the action can be slower and we rotate every 20 mins.

4 Hour Halibut Salmon Combination Whole Boat Charter $950.00 additional per person up to 6 $100.00 each Note: Its take about 1 hour each way travel to get to the Halibut fishing areas and it could be difficult to catch your limit of Halibut with 4 fishermen in 2 hours but we do the best we can or you can limit your time to 1 hour of Halibut and 1 hour of Salmon fishing.

Halibut Limits 1 Halibut per person Per day, Anglers must release all Halibut of certain size, check with the captain for size limits as they change each season. Charter boats are regulated by the Federal Government, NOAA, and must have a Charter Halibut Permit to do Halibut Charters in Alaska, different rules for 3 areas, Juneau is located in 2 C All of Southeast Alaska is in this area. Anglers are required to accept the catch before bring it aboard the vessel unless its in over and under rules which must be released. If the angler accepts the one they caught it must be killed once on the boat. ( we can’t keep it alive in our bait tanks and release it if you catch a bigger one)

King Salon limits Check with the Captain as the limits change each season One king Per person per season must be 28 inches or larger. Normally no retention of King Salmon until June 1.
